A spokesperson for Winteringham Fields said on Facebook: “We have fantastic news.

“We are delighted to announce that we have been voted the 6th Favorite Fine Dining Restaurant in the UK on Tripadvisor by our customers.

“A huge thank you to all the wonderful guests for your support, it means the world to all of us here at Winteringham Fields.

“It is such an honor to be placed among incredible restaurants, well done to you too!”

The restaurant, owned by Great British Menu star Colin McGurran, is the only establishment to have a Michelin star in all of Lincolnshire.

A statement on their websites says, “People travel great distances to get here, but food never does.

“Whether fresh from the salty sea or raised in the fields of local suppliers, our food is rooted in the local nature. To these raw and fresh ingredients, Colin McGurran and his master chefs dedicate their time, ingenuity and rare talent to create something new every season.
