TripAdvisor ranks Edinburgh’s humble cafe as the city’s best restaurant with ‘delicious’ food

An Edinburgh cafe has been listed as the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor.

Quinn’s cafe on West Port in the city center is known for its good frying, but their ratings have now seen them become the best in town.

Serving traditional cafe dishes, the restaurant offers rolls, paninis and wraps as well as cakes and sweets.

However, it’s their breakfasts that seem to have seen the cafe soar to the top of the ratings.

Another reviewer said: ‘Mike was rushed but he was a great host and made us feel very welcome. Everything is cooked from fresh produce and it shows – we had Scottish breakfast and full breakfast, it was really good and well cooked.

“Mike explained all the elements of the Scottish breakfast which was helpful for my English husband. Highly recommend.”

Many guests mentioning the excellent service and helpful tourist tips, others said it was a “simple breakfast done right”.

One diner added: ‘Went to Quinn’s this morning after reading Trip Advisor reviews.

” We were not disappointed !

“Friendly and welcoming service, simple and delicious breakfast for the four of us and a great cup of coffee. Just what we wanted for a late breakfast and ideal to support a local business.”
