The gourmet restaurant that can only accommodate 10 people hidden in a London kebab

London kebabs are a staple of the late night meal and nothing is quite as good as a 3am Doner when you really need some food before bed.

Today, the kebab has reinvented itself.

From the team behind the four Le Bab stores in London, Kebab Queen is unlike any other kebab store.

More of an experience than a restaurant, this gastronomic place hidden in the shop requires reservations in advance.

Hidden under Maison Bab at Seven Dials, one of the team’s other restaurants, Kebab Queen offers an intimate tasting experience like no other.

With enough seating for ten people, the counter where everyone sits is right in front of the kitchen, so staff can prepare the meal right in front of you.

Food is served directly on the hot counter

Not only is the food cooked in front of you, it’s served right on the counter.

That’s right, no plates; and eating with the hands is encouraged.

This place might be fancy, but it’s still a kebab.

The menu itself is not revealed to anyone; it’s a tasting menu that changes frequently.

On TripAdvisor, Kebab Queen is only five stars, which is a rare feat in London.

The food at Kebab Queen has been described as “one of a kind”

One reviewer called Kebab Queen “the best meal we have ever eaten”, while several others praised the food “superb”.

The tasting menu consists of six courses and costs £ 80 per person.

Find Kebab Queen at 4 Mercer Walk Covent Garden, London WC2H 9FA.
