A Chinese restaurant in Cheshire is a celebrity hotspot as a number of famous celebrities have visited it, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Styles.

Fortune City is a Chinese restaurant based on London Road in Holmes Chapel and countless celebrities have been photographed there over the years.

As well as Harry Styles and an apparent visit from Cristiano Ronaldo, an array of stars including Taylor Swift, Beverley Callard and Jordan Henderson enjoyed the “authentic” food served at the restaurant.

Bold Street House is Warrington’s finest restaurant and cocktail bar.

It boasts 100% five-star reviews on TripAdvisor and Facebook, and an incredible 4.8 stars on Google Reviews.

They received Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice award in August for being in the top ten percent of companies based on ratings, reviews and savings on the website.

Chester restaurants recognized in the prestigious Michelin Guide

A number of Chester restaurants have featured in this year’s prestigious Michelin Guide.

Eight restaurants in the city have received a mention in the 2021 guide – with a Michelin star, a green star and a gourmet bib among them.

This combination makes Chester restaurants the most ornate of any town center in the North West.

Worthy of mention is the sustainable restaurant Hypha, which won an inaugural green star.

The restaurant, located on the city walls above Northgate Street, has been awarded just one of 23 UK Green Stars awarded to restaurants that achieve high standards of fine dining and sustainability.

Vegan food is becoming more and more popular these days, with many people turning to plants to reduce their impact on the environment.

However, Shrub, on Chester’s Eastgate Street, might just have the answer with its inventive recreations of meat-based meals.

One of Cheshire’s favorite curry restaurants has reached the final of the prestigious national ‘Curry Oscars’.

Indian restaurant Junoon in Helsby has been nominated for an award at the British Curry Awards, dubbed the ‘Curry Oscars’ by former Prime Minister David Cameron.

Helsby’s restaurant was shortlisted for the Best Newcomer award at the ceremony held in Battersea Park, London in late November.

The restaurant opened on April 9, 2021, initially as a take-out service only due to pandemic restrictions.

A Chester bistro has been named one of the UK’s 100 best restaurants – for the ninth year running.



Sticky Walnut Restaurant on Charles Street, Hoole, Chester

Sticky Walnut on Charles Street in Hoole was the only establishment in Cheshire to feature on the definitive guide to the National Restaurant Awards this year, coming in 62nd place.

According to bistro owner Gary Usher, it’s been in the top 100 for nine years, including this year’s guide, which was published in Augues.

Unlike your average chippy, Fish and Chips @ Weston Grove offers vegan and gluten-free options daily, and has trained its staff to be Dementia and Makaton friendly.

This year, the family takeaway restaurant in Unit 1 Weston Grove made it into the official guide to the best fish and chip shops in the UK.

They were also recognized as the third best takeaway in the UK at the 2020 National Fish and Chip Awards.

An Indian restaurant owner has told how his business was delisted and he was ‘ridiculed’ before he even took his first order.

This was because of Bombay 8’s odd location – on the Gemini Retail Park, just off Charon Way, Junction 8 on the M62.

It’s not a common location for an independent restaurant and take-out, with surrounding businesses consisting of chains such as Subway, Starbucks, Travelodge, and Harvester.
